Privacy Policy

Ezar Inc. ("eZar," "we," "us," or "our") is a company incorporated in the Republic of Korea, with its principal office in Seoul and a U.S. office in McLean, Virginia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, share, and protect personal information through our website at ezar.co.kr (the "Site") and in related business communications.

We process personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea ("PIPA") and other applicable laws, including U.S. state privacy laws where they apply.

1. Personal information we collect

We collect only the information we need for the purposes described in Section 2.

The Site is intended for business use. Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as identification numbers or financial account details, through the Site.

2. How we use personal information

  • To respond to inquiries and arrange calls or meetings;
  • To send research, market updates, and newsletters you have requested;
  • To manage business relationships and perform client agreements;
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including preventing misuse; and
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not use personal information for purposes other than these without your consent or another legal basis.

3. How long we keep it

Destruction. When a retention period ends or the purpose has been achieved, we destroy the information without delay. Electronic records are deleted using methods that prevent recovery, and paper records are shredded.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or rent personal information. We provide personal information to third parties only:

  • With your consent;
  • Where required or permitted by law, including in response to lawful requests from authorities; or
  • Where necessary to protect the life, safety, or property of a person, or to protect eZar's rights.

If eZar is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will give notice as required by law.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
  • Safari: Settings › Privacy › Prevent cross-site tracking
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions

If you block cookies, some parts of the Site may not work properly. The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

6. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email help@ezar.co.kr. We will respond within 10 days, as PIPA requires, and may need to verify your identity first. A legal representative or someone you authorize may make a request on your behalf with a power of attorney.

U.S. residents. Depending on your state, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal our decision on a request. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at the same address.

7. How we protect personal information

  • Administrative: an internal management plan, access limited to staff who need it, and regular privacy training.
  • Technical: access controls, encryption of data in transit, security updates, and access logging.
  • Physical: restricted access to offices and records.

8. Children

The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children under 14 in Korea or under 13 in the United States. We do not knowingly collect their personal information, and we will delete it if we learn that we have.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date above. For significant changes, we will give notice on the Site at least seven days before they take effect.
